Four facilities, 24 licensed coaches and more than 640 players.
Kuzgun Football Academy was founded in 2009 on two small pitches in Bornova under former amateur player and coach Hakan Yalçıner. Our starting point was simple: children should first love football, then learn it, and only then compete. In the seventeen years since, that order has not changed; only our staff, facilities and measurement methods have grown.
At our four facilities in Bornova, Karşıyaka, Buca and Urla, more than 640 players aged 5 to 19 train two to five days a week. Our technical staff includes 24 licensed coaches, two goalkeeping coaches, two athletic-performance specialists and a sports psychologist. So far 86 of our players have moved to the youth setups of professional clubs, but our real pride is that even children who stop playing stay committed to sport and teamwork.
The academy is an independent private sports club licensed in the Izmir amateur leagues under the national football federation. You can visit our facilities and watch training sessions before registering.
Every coach holds at least a UEFA C licence; our goalkeeping and athletic-performance coaches hold specialist certificates.
Below age 12 there are at most ten children per coach, so every player gets plenty of touches in every session.
Sprint, agility, balance and technical tests are run at the start and end of every term, and parents receive a written report.
Camera-monitored facilities, health screening, player insurance and a child-protection policy are standard.
Our U12 and older squads play in regional leagues, with more than 20 friendlies and tournament games each season.
